CASE OVERVIEW
This 46 year old from San Diego, California started to notice her skin sagging. “I kept pulling up my neck,” she explains. Her aging signs were moderate but filler “wasn’t doing the trick” and she wanted to age gracefully and not wait to have a surgery before it became so obvious. After speaking to a couple of different prominent surgeons in the LA and San Diego area, she heard about Dr. Anton from a close friend who had a facelift with him. “She was older than I was, but she looked so natural. PRIMARY CONCERNS
Her biggest concern was her neck, and she would often catch herself standing in the mirror pulling at the skin on her neck to make it look tighter. She was also noticing some sagging skin in her lower face that had been manageable with fillers, but after a while, “fillers just weren’t doing the trick”. As someone who approaches the aging process wholistically by eating right, taking supplements and getting regular exercise, she didn’t want to let the aging process win. She decided a facelift in her mid-forties was a better choice than waiting until it the signs of aging got worse.
CONSULTATION & ASSESSMENT
The hardest decision she had to make was who to trust with her face. Luckily, a good friend who had an Enhanced Deep Plane Facelift referred her to Dr. Anton. “She was older than I am, but she looked so good. Dr. Anton performed his signature CA mini-lift, a dual layer deep plane facelift to address sagging skin in her neck and lower face. In a deep plane facelift, the SMAS is used to create the lift. This technique produces the most natural result due to the thick, fibrous nature of the SMAS and it’s ability to hold tension over time. The skin is re-draped and trimmed then sutured carefully into place in, around, and behind the ears to camouflage any scars. Liposculpsure to her jowls and mid-face improved the contours of her face. An Endoscopic Brow Lift repositioned and lifted her brows, while the Hycoox Fountain of Youth with PRP and biologics was applied for total skin rejuvenation. A Liquid Rhinoplasty was performed to correct imbalances from a previous rhinoplasty with another surgeon. Lastly, RHA was injected into her temples to replace lost volume.

HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE?
“I look really great, but I look natural.” She says most people can’t tell she’s done anything but they ask if she’s lost weight. She says, people ask if she’s lost weight. It’s common with Dr. Anton’s facelift patients that friends and even family can’t quite put their finger on why they look so good, only that they do.
The worst part of recovery for her was the head wrap, which was removed the next morning. There was some pain, mostly from the Brow Lift, but that was managed with medications. “Recovery actually went much faster than I thought it would.”
