THE PATIENT

69 year old woman, 125 lbs., breast cancer survivor, breast reconstruction, Orange County, Ca

This patient was diagnosed with breast cancer 15 year prior; she had a double mastectomy followed by an expander, placement of implants, and finally star flap nipples. She needed this secondary reconstruction surgery years later because her right implant had ruptured. She had a bilateral breast reconstruction revision with removal of the right ruptured implant, revision of the capsules on both breasts, multiple fat grafts, and placement of new silicone gel implants. These photos were taken 8 months after her surgery.
