PATIENT PROFILE

AGE: 40

PRIMARY CONCERNS:

This Newport Beach patient first came for Dr. Anton over 15 years ago for a Breast Revision and Breast Lift. Over the years she has addressed her concerns whether it be breast or body with Dr. Anton, who often tells her to wait. “Every year I would come in and ask about the crepe skin under my lower eyes and he would say, ‘No’ to surgery. That’s one of the things I love about him. I can trust him. He’s conservative, but also results driven.”

CASE OVERVIEW

This patient has had several surgeries with Dr. Anton over the last 15 years on her breast and body and at 39 was wanting to address the crepe skin under her lower eyes. As an esthetician and a makeup artist, it is especially important to her to look youthful but natural. She does not like the “done” look.

CONSULTATION & ASSESSMENT

This patient was about to turn 40 and wanted to treat herself to a special birthday present – a more youthful appearance. Working in the aesthetic field, many of her patients have had facelifts so she knows the mark of a good plastic surgeon. “His scars are what make him so superior. I have patients who have had facelift surgery with him and their scars and practically invisible. When I compare their scars to other patients who have had a facelift with a different surgeon, it’s so obvious he is a superior surgeon. Dr. Anton determined, after many years of telling her to wait, that she was a candidate for a Lower Blepharoplasty to improve the crepe skin, and a Gliding Browlift to raise the position of her brows and open up the eyes for a more youthful appearance. He suggested a Gliding Browlift over a traditional Endoscopic Browlift due to the position of her hairline, which is high on her forehead and would have required a hairline advancement. “I wasn’t trying to look 20. I wanted to look refreshed in a very natural way.”

She is already making future plans for a Breast Revision surgery with implant exchange and breast lift. “Now that I’m getting a little older, I want smaller implants.”

PATIENT RESULTS

HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER YOUR LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY PROCEDURE?

She loves her lower eyes and the placement of her brows, but it was a process recovering from the Gliding Browlift, which requires sutures to be removed 2-5 days after surgery. After the sutures are removed the forehead is red and the scars are visible. “I had to trust the process. Within 24 hours I could see dramatic improvement.” She also had to be patient and allow her brows to settle. The first two weeks they were “tall and high”. Now they look very natural. “Everything settled nicely. I love the placement of my brows and the smooth skin under my eyes.”
