NeoGen Lift is safe for all skin so anyone who wants to maintain or restore the youthfulness of their face, neck, or body is a candidate.
Before treatment, you will meet with one of our Aesthetic MD nurses to determine the best treatment based on your health history, skin type, lifestyle, available downtime, and beauty goals.
Some patients may be required to use a topical lightening cream 2-4 weeks before the procedure and during the recovery process.
CONSULTATION, PREPARATION & PROCEDURE
During your skincare consultation, your beauty concerns will be addressed along with other considerations such as budget, available recovery time, lifestyle, plus long and short-term aesthetic goals.
Medium to darker skin types or those with a history of hyperpigmentation may be prescribed a lightening cream for home use for 2-3 weeks before the procedure. Because hydration is key to getting the full benefit of the NeoGen Lift, all patients must follow the hydration protocols and refrain from caffeine, alcohol, and excess sugars a week before treatment. Some patients may require pre-hydration treatments and home care products to optimize their skin before the procedure.
On the day of your procedure, arrive at our Newport Beach office with a clean face, and wearing comfortable clothes. You may change into one of our dressing gowns if desired. Depending on the treatment you are receiving – NeoGen Lift, NeoGen Lite Lift, or NeoGen Plus, a topical numbing cream will be applied. Most of our Newport Beach patients find the NeoGen procedure to be very comfortable. You may enjoy bringing a pair of headphones along to listen to music while the procedure is being performed.
NeoGen Lift generally takes about an hour to perform, not including numbing time. Your provider will make several passes in the treatment area using high, low, or a combination energy formula.
You may feel a snap of heat as the plasma beam makes contact with your skin and is absorbed into the dermis. The sensation lasts a few seconds. Unlike Fractionated CO2 laser there is not an accumulation of heat that builds in the skin.
When your treatment is completed a topical layer of a hydrating cream or ointment is applied. You receive a recovery kit with products and instructions on how to use them.

NEOGEN LIFT RECOVERY
Immediately after treatment, the skin is pink to red depending on the energy level treatment received.
It is important that you follow the recovery instructions and continue to hydrate – inside and out! Continue to drink water with electrolytes and apply the recovery ointments as directed. Do not wash your face for 4 days after treatment.
By day 2-3, the skin turns a bronzy hue. It may feel tight. Keep applying the topical ointments. Skin begins to flake around days 3-4. Do not pick or pull at the skin. Do not rub. By day 5 you can apply sunscreen and makeup. Most patients find that 5-7 days of “social downtime” during the healing period is all that is required after a NeoGen Lift procedure.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
The beauty of the NeoGen Lift treatment is that it offers full regeneration of the skin architecture with just one non-surgical treatment. We define the results period in three stages:
