Belotero Balance is a light-weight HA (hyaluronic acid) filler ideal for treating vertical fine lines in the perioral (mouth) area, as well as chin, forehead, and for augmenting the tear trough (under eyes) area.
Treatment area(s) is numbed with a topical numbing cream for 30 minutes before the treatment begins. Belotero is injected by needle directly under the surface of the skin. Following treatment, the face will remain numb for several hours. Slight bruising and swelling can occur but is resolved in 3-5 days.
To minimize bruising, patients can apply pressure to the injection site for ten minutes following treatment. The treated area can present with red, shallow streaks that resolve within 3-5 days. Some tenderness in the treated area is normal but resolves within 3-5 days. Massage is recommended in the treated area(s) for the first 72 hours following treatment.
