CASE OVERVIEW
This very youthful, active sixty year old male from Newport Beach was concerned with facial aging. A sports enthusiast, he wanted to look as young as he feels. A friend who works with plastic surgeons recommended Dr. Anton.
PATIENT PROFILE
AGE: 62
PRIMARY CONCERNS
This patient first came to see Dr. Anton to revise a scar. “I took a digger on my bike,” he explains. The sunglasses he was wearing cut open the skin above his eye and when he came to see Dr. Anton he was concerned with how the scar was healing. “I asked a friend who works with a lot of plastic surgeons who is the best. She told me I had to see Dr. Anton.” During the consultation for a scar revision, he asked Dr. Anton about his aging face. He spends a lot of time in the sun, and it was beginning to show. Dr. Anton discussed a number of options and they decided an upper eyes lift and neck liposuction would give him a youthful, natural look. Dr. Anton also suggested he join the Beauty Bank to reverse years of the sun damage that would continue to age his face.
CONSULTATION & ASSESSMENT
Along with a scar revision to improve the appearance of the scar he obtained in a bike accident, the patient wanted to refresh his sixty year old face. Years of sun damage had broken down the collagen in his skin and he was noticing his upper eyes sagging along with his neck. Rather than a facelift, Dr. Anton recommended neck liposuction to remove a small amount of submental fat and help to tighten the skin under his neck. For certain patients with more youthful skin, neck liposuction offers a great alternative to a neck lift as the skin retracts and looks tightened. For his upper eyes, Dr. Anton suggested an eye lift which removes excess skin that causes hooding and opens the eyes.
